Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actor and performer whose performance range earned her popular acclaim throughout a wide range of genres ranging from period drama to action thrillers and thrillers. Johansson daughter of an architect, and producer was brought up within New York City. She was the twin sister of Hunter as well as her mother were among the youngest of siblings. At the age of seven years old, she was casting for TV commercials. In order to improve her talents, she enrolled in at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Manhattan before moving on to she attended the Professional Children's School. When she was eight, she performed alongside Ethan Hawke in the Off-Broadway production Sophistry when she was nine. At that age, she made her film debut on Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson then appeared in Just Cause, but she gained recognition when she appeared in Manny & Lo, a film about siblings left behind by their parents who escape. Her next film won critical acclaim for her role as one of the teens who is injured in a horrific accident within The Horse Whisperer (1998) and gained more attention in the role of a cynical teenager Rebecca In Ghost World (2001). Smith was in a television commercial for Dannon yogurt. Similar to many young actresses she decided to further develop her talent in the theatre. In the time she staged her debut in Wildflower she also worked on different projects across USA. She attended an institution called the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, part of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
